Almost all businesses operating heavy vehicles use some percentage of fuel off public roads but knowing exactly how much is often difficult. If you do not apportion your fuel usage on and off public roads, you are not maximising your Fuel Tax Credit claims.

2. Send Us Your Data
Simply export your GPS data files from your telematics provider and send them to us. We’ll load your data into ATLAS, go through the pre-validation checks so the data is ready for processing and review.
3. We Process and Review
ATLAS automatically validates data quality and classifies every trip segment against Australian road network data and known off-road locations. Our team also conducts a manual Trip Review before reports are run to ensure that calculations are compliant.
4. ATLAS Prepares Your Reports
We run reports and, depending on your level of service, we send them directly to you (GPS Data Processing Services), or they are used by our team of Fuel Tax Experts to provide you with FTC claims advice (Taxation Advisory Services).

Questions and Answers
No. ATLAS processes data exported from the telematics system you already have.
Any provider that can export GPS activity data, so long as the data contains the following minimum fields – Date/Time, Latitude, Longitude, HDOP, and Satellites. To verify the veracity of idle calculations, Event Data (ie. ignition on/off) is also required.
A complete report set: apportionment result, data quality assessment, off-road location reports, and our trip review findings.
Every kilometre is classified from real GPS positions against Australian road network mapping, manually reviewed by FTA before release, and fully traceable to the source data. The result is only as good as the underlying data your provider records, which is why we rate its quality up front and report it alongside your apportionment.

No. ATLAS does not have any fixed contract terms.
Pricing depends on the level of service. Data Processing Services are typically offered on a fixed fee basis based on the quantity of data to be processed. Retrospective Reviews may be charged on a contingency fee basis so there are no upfront costs. For all other services, we provide upfront fee quotes tailored to your specific needs.
The ATO does not “approve” any GPS-based FTC systems. It does issue Product and Class Rulings to support the veracity of data produced by certain systems. ATLAS lodged applications with the ATO in mid-2026 and is currently going through the ruling assessment process.
No. ATLAS only uses kilometres travelled and time idled to ensure FTC apportionment calculations remain conservative. If you have access to fuel consumption rates, FTA experts can advise you the best way to use these to maximise your FTC entitlement.
